Chichester Developments has established an enviable reputation for building high-quality, modern homes in prime locations throughout North Devon.
Having successfully worked with Chichester Developments for several years producing digital and high-end print marketing, we have developed a strong understanding of their business and the wider housebuilding industry.
Inventive had delivered the previous Chichester Developments website which had been successful in helping to boost new home sales, and promoting the brand. However, after several years the website was in need of a refresh.
Design Process
We started by consulting with the client and researching the latest marketing trends in the property development market, this ensured that we understood their audience and helped us to plan and prioritise the content of their website accordingly.
We then used wireframes, to show how the content would be arranged across the site's key pages. Understanding the layout and usability was central to the next step; designing and building the online image.
Our talented web designers worked within the client's brand guidelines to produce high-fidelity design visuals, showing Chichester's management team how the site would look on mobile and desktop devices. Once these visuals were approved we could begin the project's development phase.
Drupal CMS Development
The fast-moving, dynamic nature of the site's content required a powerful CMS (Content Management System), so we chose to use the Drupal framework, This allowed us to build on top of a series of well-established and robust Drupal modules that served as the building blocks for the application.
The CMS was tailored to the client's needs, allowing them to easily add and update their property developments. Every detail was covered; from uploading floorplans, brochures and site plans, to updating the sold status of each individual property and right down to giving them the ability to add new and upcoming developments to the map on their homepage.
Drupal gives us the flexibility to add new features to the site over time, evolving it in line with Chichester's own expansion.
